About the role

reMarkable is growing rapidly and we are now looking for a Senior Project Manager - Product & Operations within Hardware/Embedded to lead groundbreaking technology projects within physical product development.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to directly impact our future product portfolio, and enable further growth for reMarkable. The products you are part of developing will end up in the hands of potentially millions of customers worldwide. You will be a key person to develop reMarkable as a company within hardware/electronics & Embedded software development.

You will function as the hub between our product development and operations teams. You will be instrumental in our product projects from early concept stages, up until the launch of new products, as well as ensuring progression and risk reduction towards launch. You will be part of the Supply Chain department, but depending on where in the product development life cycle the projects are, you will work closely with Product and Operations/Supply Chain.

You will be our central point of contact for suppliers and consultants, and secure reMarkables future delivery of groundbreaking products. This role offers a unique opportunity to work globally, across subject domains. Your days will be filled with exciting responsibilities and variation!

In this role you will:

  • Lead entire, or parts, of NPI (New Product Introduction) projects from a Hardware and Embedded software perspective, including leading and executing development builds and new product ramp-ups; both on SKU level and sub-workstreams. This includes leading the project teams within Hardware and Embedded software development

  • Be the connection between engineering within Hardware and Embedded, into software/applications development, and be the connection into project/program management

  • Be the connection from product development projects into Operations domains such as planning, sourcing, manufacturing, quality and logistics within Hardware

  • Ensure product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness in pursuit of making sure new SKUs meet company targets on cost, performance, design vision/intention, quality levels etc

  • Ensure high degree of dialogue and collaboration with suppliers (prototyping, design, production etc) and third party consultants used for prototyping support, Design (ID/CMF, mechanical, experiment/testing), Manufacturing (manufacturing processes and equipment, tooling design and verification), and Project Management in third parties

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Technology, Business or relevant field required. Master degree/ Advanced Degree/ MBA preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in relevant roles, preferably within Product Development, HW/embedded development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Project Management

  • Experience from high volume global design & manufacturing of consumer and/or high tech electronics or other relevant industries

  • Software experience

  • Solid high level understanding of electronics, embedded software and mechanical engineering

  • Proven skills in leadership of cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines in a matrix organization

  • Highly collaborative, excellent at building trust and strong relationships and knowing how to get stakeholders motivated, engaged and committed (accountability) for a common cause and goals

  • Strong communication skills including ability to communicate clearly and make an impact at all levels including executive level

  • Passion for identifying solutions and leading change

  • Strong coordination/ project/ program management skills

  • Structured and capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel

  • Process mindset and ability to hold process owners engaged and accountable
