Position Overview:
As we continue to expand our Research & Development (R&D) capabilities at reMarkable, we are seeking an experienced Senior R&D Project Manager. In this position, you will not only plan, coordinate, and execute high-impact projects that align with our strategic objectives but also contribute to the development of innovative technologies that help people think better.

This role demands a mix of technical expertise and project management skills. As a Senior R&D Project Manager, you will lead a cross-functional team delivering ambitious projects across technical domains. Your work will involve hands-on participation in technological development, ensuring that new solutions are not only innovative but also aligned with our business goals. The Senior R&D Project Manager has a key responsibility in ensuring progress and scoping work together with the team, and being the link between the team and the tribe leadership.

A key aspect of your role will be to uphold and drive excellence, building a culture of high standards and teamwork. You are expected to encourage collaboration and support within the team, pushing the boundaries of what is possible to achieve exceptional results together. Must Have:

  • Educational Background: A Master’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field of natural science or engineering.
  • Proven R&D Experience: Experience in technical project management within an R&D setting, with a solid grasp of R&D methodologies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects with a focus on innovative technological development.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated capability to lead, define, and manage goals for smaller cross-functional teams and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Communication and Organization: Communication skills are important for clear articulation of project goals and processes. An organized and structured approach is necessary for efficient management of complex projects.
  • Technical and Domain Expertise: Knowledge in key domain areas such as software, hardware, material science, etc., sufficient to manage teams and project leaders effectively.

  • Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in mechanical or electrical engineering is highly beneficial given that you will be leading R&D projects where these skills are crucial.
  • Interdisciplinary Insight: Experience in R&D processes outside your specialty to provide a broader perspective and enhance project outcomes.
