About the role:

reMarkable has an unique opportunity in establishing our integration architecture from scratch with very little legacy. Our new application portfolio consists of best-of-breed systems (e-commerce, product lifecycle management, supply and demand planning, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and more) that need to work seamlessly together.
Our best-of-breed cloud-based system portfolio makes integrations a crucial capability for our success. We need to strengthen our team to help us seize this opportunity, making reMarkable a textbook example of state-of-the-art integration architecture.

As an IT Integration Engineering Manager you will be central in building the integration architecture both as a key technology platform, but also as an area of expertise within reMarkable.

The role will be leading a team of currently two integration developers plus external integration developers and will report to the Head of Enterprise Systems.

Some of your responsibilities as IT Integration Engineering Manager

  • Lead the team effectively to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the technical domain, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Support business objectives by designing and developing integrations for reMarkable with associated cloud infrastructure.
  • Strategize and execute migration plans for APIs and integrations to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Analyze existing integrations and devise strategies to enhance their functionality and efficiency.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and advise on system errors or architectural issues related to APIs and integrations.
  • Facilitate IT integration capabilities, including API management and messaging systems, to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices.
  • Lead collaboration with external integration development teams.

We are looking for the following experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as a team lead/manager with a background as a Scrum Master.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in various technical domains, such as consuming APIs, developing APIs, working with asynchronous messaging, and building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Open API Specification and associated tools, showcasing ability to work with industry-standard API documentation practices..
  • Strong understanding of securing APIs using OAuth, SAML, OpenID, and similar protocols.
  • Experience in cloud platforms, particularly in developing on platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP),Terraform or similar technologies.

It is also an advantage if you have…

  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP APIs, demonstrating proficiency in SAP integration solutions.
  • Familiarity with Google Apigee X, showcasing expertise in API management on the Google Cloud platform.
  • Experience working as a backend developer.
